Aug. 17, 2021 – How Hackers Hide with Fileless Malware – Huntress
August 17 @ 6:15 pm - 8:00 pmFree
You’re invited to join us ONLINE for our August event – sponsored by Huntress.
ABOUT OUR EVENT
Word from our Sponsor, presented by Alexis Granahan
With preventative security in the spotlight, threat actors these days know better than to leave behind artifacts on the target filesystem. A sophisticated hacker cannot afford to touch disk and needs to ensure their payload and malware resides solely in memory.
Hackers are constantly evolving, exploiting new vulnerabilities and dwelling in SMB environments – until they meet Huntress.
Huntress enables our partners to find and stop hidden threats that sneak past preventive security tools. Founded by former NSA Cyber Operators – and backed by a team of ThreatOps researchers – we help our partners protect their customers from persistent footholds, ransomware and other attacks.

Ghosts in the Walls: How Hackers Hide with Fileless Malware, presented by Dave Kleinatland
With preventative security in the spotlight, threat actors these days know better than to leave behind artifacts on the target filesystem. A sophisticated hacker cannot afford to touch disk and needs to ensure their payload and malware resides solely in memory. Join us for a floor show demonstrating both the offensive and defensive nature surrounding the infamous buzzword “fileless malware”. In this session we will showcase how hackers use legitimate techniques and live-off-the-land tactics with PowerShell, C# and other languages to hide their operations — and how you can better defend against those threats.
