Feb. 26 – IBM Watson for Natural Resources
February 26, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
About Our Topic
Join us for a lively, interactive session with Chris Masternak from IBM presenting Practical Data Science:
Watson for Natural Resources
Chris Masternak (https://www.linkedin.com/in/cmaster/), data scientist in Watson IoT at IBM, will discuss the application of machine learning tools (proprietary and open source) that are being applied to industrial operations data as it relates to the Watson for Natural Resources program. This will be a fairly end-to-end discussion on: our engagement model, use cases in operation with our clients, data science architectures, common data science issues, and plenty of demos of the technologies. In concert with both IT and Operations, the WNR program is bringing real-time insights based on public and private datasets to help Canadian Energy companies improve asset utilization and ROI for their facilities.
